Bulbophyllum medusae

Bulbophyllum medusae (Lindl.) Rchb.f. in W.G.Walpers, Ann. Bot. Syst. 6: 262 (1861) [1]. Spesis unik ini mempunyai taburan hidup daripada Thailand sehingga ke Indonesia. Nama 'medusae' diberi kerana struktur 'lateral sepal'nya yang kelihatan seperti satu watak dalam mitos Greek iaitu Gorgon Medusae yang mempunyai rambut daripada ular-ular [2].

 




Catatan aku:
Variasi  spot ni aku dapat secara rawak apabila membeli semua pokok yang ada dijual oleh orang asli di Rompin 3 tahun dahulu....dan memang ia pernah berbunga....tetapi masa duk kalut buat ubah suai di TBV...dah tak kenai mana satu yang berbunga spot....la ni berbunga baru tao pokok yang mana...teruih je tag supaya tak tercari-cari lagi..

Aku tanam dia pada kayu....kadar cahaya ialah kira kira 50%  sebab duk bawah kanopi pokok bacang mak aku di TBV...
